DESCRIPTION:Join us at The Messy Moose Studio for a fun-filled sewing adventure! \nOver the course of 4 exciting weeks\, we are offering TWO different options to jump into learning some basic skills. Hand sewing and machine 101. Please see the other listing for the Machine 101 class. \nHand Sewing – We will learn skills like the running stitch\, back stitch\, mattress/whip stitch\, & button sewing\, if we have time we can also learn how to bead onto fabric and we will try out our skills to make a felt stuffy. Learning to hand sew is important for kids because it builds fine motor skills\, patience\, and creativity while teaching practical problem-solving. It fosters independence by allowing them to repair or create items\, boosts confidence through completed projects\, and introduces them to a timeless skill that encourages focus and mindfulness. \nAges: 7 plus \nTime and dates: Tuesdays from 7 pm to 8 pm. \nFeb 4th\, 11th\, 25th and March 4th. *Please note\, no class on February 18th due to winter break* \nCost: $145 plus tax \nEach session is packed with creativity\, hands-on learning\, and tons of fun. Plus\, all materials are included\, so your child just needs to bring their imagination.
