Here's a few of the activities we offer here at The Messy Moose Kid's Art Studio! For all of our events, after school clubs and camps, please check out our 'Calendar' or our 'Book Online' pages. Dry Sensory BinsDry Sensory Bins offer a place for children to play with a variety of different dry materials. We use sand, rice, pasta, lentils and beans. We also make moon sand and homemade Play-Doh. In this area, we also have a play kitchen with play food for them to use their imagination and hone the skills that they have been watching you do at home. Wet Sensory BinsWe use our wet sensory bin area to host a few different activities. They can try their skills at mixing potions one week, and then see what they can make by blowing bubbles in paint the next. Try their hand at bathing babies in our "sinks" or watercolour prints. Water TableOur water table is a homemade area where the kids can pretend they are hair stylists, washing hair and styling it. We have toys they can pour, scoop, measure, and dump with. We wanted to do a little write-up to answer one of the common questions I've been getting and to introduce ourselves a little bit. The question is, "What inspired me to open this business? "First off, my kids and secondly, it was a life-changing visit to another wonderful process art studio in Ontario that set me on this path. I brought my kids to an amazing studio when my kids were 2 and 4 - but it was an hour away from our home. Once we got back from our one and sadly only visit (we moved to Alberta shortly after)I started researching what process art meant and how much our kids need to be able to engage in messy play.
