Here’s a few of the activities we offer here at The Messy Moose Kid’s Art Studio!

Dry Sensory Bins
Dry Sensory Bins offer a place for children to play with a variety of different dry materials. We use sand, rice, pasta, lentils and beans. We also make moon sand and homemade Play-Doh. In this area, we also have a play kitchen with play food for them to use their imagination and hone the skills that they have been watching you do at home.
Wet Sensory Bins
We use our wet sensory bin area to host a few different activities. They can try their skills at mixing potions one week, and then see what they can make by blowing bubbles in paint the next. Try their hand at bathing babies in our “sinks” or watercolour prints.
Water Table
Our water table is a homemade area where the kids can pretend they are hair stylists, washing hair and styling it. We have toys they can pour, scoop, measure, and dump with. Come prepared to see some wet clothes from their play.
Paint Wall
The paint wall is, just that, a wall you are allowed to paint on! Some weeks we have a print they can colour in, but they can also just let their imagination and curiosity lead them. Mixing of the colours is not only allowed, it’s recommended!
Chalkboard Wall
Chalkboards in classrooms have slowly disappeared and have been replaced by whiteboards and smart boards. Here we have brought it back and the kids can show off their math skills, or simply just draw a picture.
Makers Table
Our Makers table has a simple craft set up each week, but the real purpose is that we have a large assortment of materials available for use. Paper of all kinds, solid colours, patterns, shapes, construction paper, card stock, cardboard and more!
Scissors, paper punches, glue, stickers, foam, ribbon, tape, “junk” to repurpose. You’ll only be limited by your imagination.
