By enrolling in a class, camp, event, or dropping in with The Messy Moose Inc., you agree to the following Terms and Conditions
TOYS & ELECTRONICS: Please leave these items at home to prevent them from getting lost or damaged.
INDOOR SHOES or SOCKS REQUIRED: Please bring a pair of clean, indoor shoes for you and your child to wear while indoors, or must be wearing socks (this includes any adults staying for the drop-in hours).
KINDNESS & RESPECT: Our goal is to foster a positive learning environment filled with creativity and camaraderie for both our students and parents. You and your child agree to treat all participants of The Messy Moose art programs with kindness and respect. The Messy Moose Inc. reserves the right to withdraw a student from lessons, for inappropriate behavior. The Messy Moose Inc. will not tolerate behaviour deemed dangerous or harmful towards other participants, our employees or the studio and its materials. The Messy Moose Inc. reserves the right to terminate lessons or participation at the studio and no refund will be issued. SOMETIMES WE GET MESSY: We love to have fun and get messy! You will make sure your child is properly dressed for The Messy Moose Inc. - this means wearing socks or indoor shoes and either a smock or clothing that is okay to get dirty.
WE RESPECT OUR STUDIO AND MATERIALS: As a process-based art studio, we use a wide range of materials in our art projects and sensory stations including, but not limited to: paint, glue, pastels, chalk, scissors, glue guns, hammers, and other sharp objects and a wide range of sensory materials. While we do our best to monitor every child's use of these materials, accidents may occur occasionally due to the inherent risk in using these materials. You understand that these materials are not meant for consumption and will instruct your child not to consume any materials and to always conduct themselves safely.
*Please ensure respectful use of the studio and all its materials, for everyone's enjoyment and safe use of the space.
SAFETY FIRST: The safety of your child and other children is our top priority. You acknowledge that your child has no physical, emotional, or social conditions that make it dangerous or unwise for your child to safely participate in our art programs. If your child needs assistance, we are happy to have you stay with your child during our programs.
Parents will be called to pick up their child if any dangerous or unsafe behaviours occur during our registered programs. There will be no refunds if this occurs.
PERMISSION TO PARTICIPATE: You give your permission for your child to participate in The Messy Moose Inc. programs. You release and hold The Messy Moose Inc. harmless from any and all liability that may arise in connection with the studio's art programs.
ILLNESS POLICIES: If your child is sick, please do not send them to the studio. Similarly, if a child shows up for class with symptoms of illness (e.g. runny nose or cough, fever, sore throat), or says they are or were not feeling well recently, we will contact the child's adult to pick them up.
We love promoting process-based art and sharing it with others. We may take photographs, video and/or audio (the "Media") during our art classes to post on our social media. We will be taking photos/videos of the children and activities so that other parents can get an idea of the types of services we offer.
Checking yes below grants The Messy Moose Inc. permission to use any images/videos taken of your child in various publications, social media, website content and promotional materials. No identifying information will be used alongside the photos/videos (names, etc).
