Inventor Camp – Summer

Inventor Camp – Summer

Inventor Lab: Rube Goldberg Edition

Inventor Lab is a hands-on, STEM-focused summer camp inspired by Rube Goldberg machines, where campers design, build, test, and refine wildly creative chain-reaction inventions. Using recycled and reclaimed materials, campers will explore simple machines, cause-and-effect, problem-solving, and basic engineering concepts while turning big ideas into moving, clanking, rolling creations.

Some builds will work perfectly. Others will fail spectacularly before working even better. The focus is on experimentation, iteration, teamwork, and creative confidence rather than polished results.

Through inventive reuse of materials, campers will also develop an understanding of sustainability by learning how everyday objects can be repurposed into functional systems instead of discarded.

Expect collaboration, curiosity, trial-and-error, and plenty of “what if we try this?” moments.

**For this camp, each child will go home with MakeDo tools and a screw set to continue their inventing at home!**
